When it comes to choosing the best supplements to support your goals, you can easily become overwhelmed with the multitude of choices at your disposal.
Some companies are highly respected within the supplement industry, while others are notorious snake oil salesmen, overhyping their products as the best thing since sliced bread, all without real merit.
This is why our mission is to bring to you what your time and money is best spent on, and how trustworthy a brand and its products are.
This time, we’re going to be investigating the Battle Ready Fuel brand of products, a relative newcomer to the heavyweight supplement industry, along with the company’s overall reputation and trust with customers.

Who Is Battle Ready Fuel (BRF)?
Battle Ready Fuel prides itself on being a different kind of supplement manufacturer. Created by a former SAS (special air service) veteran Ollie Ollerton, and endorsed by multiple former SAS servicemen, the company strives to bring premium fitness supplements to the masses, ones that will help you achieve the results you desire, even if you’ve tried others before and failed.
Being endorsed by members of the UK’s most well-known and elite group of military personnel, the brand commands more trust that the supplements will help you achieve your goals since members of that unit need and use only the best products themselves.
But regardless of whether your goals are muscle gain, strength, or general well-being, BRF has something for everyone.
The BRF Product Line
Even though most persons that consume typical fitness products are ultimately striving to improve the way the body functions, Battle Ready Fuel knows that the end product of performance optimization is more than what the body is capable of doing.
By this, we mean that they also advocate for the training of the mind, as without the proper mind-body connection, you will never achieve your full potential.
In addition to these classes of supplements, are those that support optimal overall health, but which don’t often get the recognition they deserve. These outline their most popular product offerings below:
Muscle/Mass Gainer Products
Creatine
One of the most studied supplements of all time, Creatine monohydrate’s impact on muscle gain is unquestionable.
BRF’s Creatine contains zero additives, ensuring that you get a pure, unadulterated product. Best when used coupled with short burst high-intensity training protocols.
BCAAs
Branched-chain amino acids are extremely important to the muscle building process, with many athletes familiar with leucine, isoleucine, and valine. What sets BRF’s BCAA supplement apart from others is the fact that you get 200% the amount of leucine you find in many other BCAA supplements.
For years, there was a tightly held belief that you must consume BCA As in the ratio of 2:1:1, respectively. However, by increasing the leucine to deliver a ratio of 4:1:1, you are primed to see much greater muscle hypertrophy following your work out.
In addition, BRF’s BCAA supplement is to be consumed intra workout (during your workout), mixed with water to create a delicious cherry flavored drink. This is superior to just randomly downing a few BCAA pills throughout the day with no real rhyme or reason.
Pre-Workout
BRF’s pre-workout supplement is a bit different from what you may have become accustomed to, containing your standard nitric oxide boosting and stimulant ingredients (such as citrulline, beta alanine, and caffeine), but is also fortified with whey isolate, which is claimed to help protect your muscle from catabolism during training.
Coupled with Clarinol; a patented premium version of conjugated linoleic acid, this also helps encourage breakdown and utilization of fat to provide energy.
My only concern here is the fact that traditionally pre-workout nitric oxide boosters are advised to be taken separately from protein, in an effort to prevent absorption issues. Not sure if this has been considered.
Multivitamin
The importance of a complete multivitamin/multimineral supplement cannot be overstated. Even though people like to argue that diet supplies all you need, more often than not these are the exact people likely to develop nutritional deficiencies, as a result of missing key micro-nutrients.
Even if you can meet your basic requirements miraculously, the toll weight training, hypertrophy or weight loss takes on the body increases nutritional requirements – meaning that you are likely missing out on what you need.
The end result may be stalled progress, or worse – illness.
BRF’s multivitamin complex requires just one daily, compared to multiples that other competing products may advise, which is advantageous.
However, its potency is also less than best-in-class vitamins judging from dosages. It is possible that many of these vitamins/minerals are wasted, in which case it is a smart move.
Protein
The importance of protein is crucial in determining whether or not you meet your athletic goals, as a deficiency of this macronutrient never ends well.
Whether you opt for the gold standard that is whey protein or are a vegan warrior, BRF has you covered.
Vegan protein consists of a blend of pea and hemp, with added digestive enzymes and probiotic inulin fiber, in an all-natural peanut butter flavor.
Whey isolate needs no introductions – what you get is 90% pure dairy whey, with less fat and lactose to support your muscle gain objective.
Better Focus Supplements
To develop an all-around physique, your mind must give the all clear. Ever felt physically up to the task but your mind won’t budge? We all know the outcome of that one. By supporting your brain – arguably the most powerful organ in you have, your subservient body has no option but to up its game.
Level up your mind with these focus supplements:
Nootropic Blend
Nootropics have become extremely popular these days, helping to increase focus, blood flow to the brain, busting stress and improving your brain’s resilience and ability to function under pressure.
BRF’s neurotrophic stack contains 11 potent yet safe ingredients which claim to take your workouts and overall brain function to the next level.
Fish Oil
The importance of Omega-3 fats have been highlighted by the media numerous times over the past decade, but its importance to the brain is unquestionable.
The brain is comprised primarily of fatty tissue, whose health must be supported with the consumption of healthy, anti-inflammatory dietary fats. BRF’s fish oil supplement supplies over 900 mg of pure Omega-3, to support optimal brain and cardiovascular health.
This is great but in no way better than the hundreds of other available fish oil products on the market.
Sleep Aid
Without sleep, brain performance suffers, and with it, your physical prowess. BRF’s sleep aid supplement does not contain sedatives, but rather a natural bend of magnesium, calcium and vitamin D, which help to support melatonin production, boost natural relaxation and support regeneration during sleep.
You also wake up in the morning free of grogginess and ready to take on the day. Great idea, but will be ineffective for persons that have sleep difficulties.
Weight Loss Supplements
Pre-Workout Fat Burner
The primary active ingredient in BRF’s pre-workout fat burner makes use of capsaicin – the compound in hot peppers that burns.
Use of this supplement definitely increases thermogenesis, and when coupled with the standard pre-workout supplements should induce a modest caloric burn.
Thermogenic Metabolism Booster Fat Burner
This fat burner is advised to be used with meals, three times daily. It makes use of Garcinia Cambogia, bitter orange extract and guarana, an excellent stimulant.
Together, they claim to be able to decrease appetite, speed up fat utilization and prevent storage of new fat.
General Health And Wellness
Liquid Collagen
Collagen is an important structural protein that helps to preserve the health of connective tissue such as the skin and joints.
Collagen protein makes a great adjuvant to whey, especially since collagen is the most abundant naturally occurring protein in the human body.
Super Greens
An excellent vegan-friendly superfood mix, helping to ensure your body gets a wide range of phytochemical compounds along with natural cultures of probiotics.
BRF’s super greens supplement appears geared at ensuring the health of your digestive system, often overlooked on healthy lifestyle plans.
Stacks
BRF also offers stacks containing products from a specific category, though you are only likely to consume all at once if you have highly specific goals. It may be a better idea to hand pick what you want from each, instead of taking the shotgun approach.
Stacks they offer include:
- Sports Performance Stack
- Muscle Building Stack
- Ultimate Health and Wellbeing Stack
- Better Focus Mind Stack
- Diet and Weight Loss Stack
- Male 30 Day Transformation Stack
- Female 30 Day Transformation Stack
- Complete Mind, Body And Nutrition Stack Combo
Pros Of Battle Ready Fuel Brand Products
- Support by SAS veterans lends credibility to the BRF brand, being created by a former member of the SAS himself.
- Products sold by BRF are of the highest quality and seek to address the issue of subpar supplements on the market.
- Products are manufactured in FDA approved facilities
- Full transparency- no proprietary blends that hide what you are getting in each supplement
- Money back guarantee if you aren’t pleased with your purchase.
- Emphasizes training of the body as a whole- with the mind being an important part of your overall success (hence, the mind supplements they offer).
Cons
- BRF doesn’t bring anything new to the table that other brands haven’t already staked a claim upon
- Prices are considerably higher for similar products – whether or not claimed purity is there.
- Relatively new brand that has not built up consumer trust as yet; customer reviews and testimonials are virtually nonexistent at this point.
- Many products are extremely basic
My recommendation
I am 100% sure that the Battle Ready Fuel Brand is giving you all that their product claims, and backed by SAS veteran Ollie Ollerton, the trust factor of this new product line is very high in my opinion.
However, they will have a difficult time competing against other supplement giants already well-established in a saturated industry.
Their product offerings are reasonably wide, so you can find something that is for you regardless of your goal most of the time.
That being said, there are a few considerations that you must give to the brand before deciding on if the products are right for you or not.
For one, I find the prices of their products a little exorbitant, even if each of the ingredients is manufactured in FDA approved facilities. For instance, just a tiny 900 g jar of whey protein costs approximately $45, when you can easily get double the amount at a lower price, and of some of the well-respected brands.
Secondly, even though the brand appears relatively new (first mention of it on the Internet is less than six months old) this is ample time for a fair amount of customers to have tried the products and reported their findings. The absence of consumer testimonials is troublesome, and does not do well for supporting the supplement claims.
Last but not least, is the fact that their products don’t bring the wow factor to the table. New brands try to innovate in order to set themselves apart from the competition, but BRF doesn’t do a very good job of telling me why I should get their products.
All in all, while I personally trust their product line, at this time they are best suited for purchase if you’re interested in supplements with a minimal amount of additives, and if you do not mind paying a premium in the process.
Who knows, in a few years they may be well poised at the top of the supplement food chain, but for the time being they need to aggressively promote the benefits of their products and why it is superior to other well-established brands.
